درک و پاسخ صحیح به کاربرد زبانی که در هر سوال به کار رفته در بهبود نمره شما تاثیر زیادی دارد. هر سوال با هدف مشخصی طراحی شده که بخش مشخصی از توان زبانی شما را به چالش بکشد. برخی از انواع متداول این جنبه های زبانی بعنوان مثال اینجا ذکر شده اند.

این سوال را به عنوان مثال در نظر بگیرید. در این سوال از داوطلب خواسته میشه تا شه خودشو توصیف کنه و نیاز است که از کاربرد صحیح زبانی برای توصیف در پاسخ به سوال استفاده بشه. برای شفاف تر شدن موضوع در کنار جواب صحیح دو مورد جواب اشتباه هم اینجا ذکر شده که در ادامه به بررسی آنها می پردازیم.

در جواب نادرست اول، داوطلب بجای توصیف زادگاه دلیل دوست داشتن زادگاه را توضیح میدهد که حاکی از درک اشتباه سوال است. در جواب نادرست دوم، داوطلب در حال مقایسه کردن شهر محل زندگی کنونی با زادگاه است که ربطی به سوال پرسیده شده ندارد و باعث پایین آمدن نمره داوطلب میشود.

در این مثال سوال از داوطلب میخواهد که مقایسه انجام دهد. در سوالات مقایسه ای باید دقت شود تا المان های مقایسه ای درست تشخیص داده شوند و مقایسه در همان راستا صورت گیرد. بطور مثال المان های مقایسه ای در این سوال بر اساس زمان طراحی شده و مقایسه ای که داوطلب انجام میدهد هم باید بر اساس زمان باشد.

در این پاسخ اشتباه، داوطلب بجای مقایسه، در حال توضیح دلیل ترجیح گذشته زادگاه است که باعث کاهش نمره میشود.

آموزش صحیح در کنار تمرین و تکرار این امکان را برای داوطلب فراهم مینماید که در آزمون Speaking قبل از پاسخ به سوال، به جنبه زبانی مورد نیاز در پاسخ را تشخیص و در استفاده از آن در پاسخ تلاش کند.
